Tom holds a B.A. with highest distinction from Northwestern University, receiving honors in history and philosophy. He also was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and accepted a fellowship for graduate studies from the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation. Prior to attending law school he received a doctoral degree in philosophy from The Pennsylvania State University, where he became a University Fellow, and then taught in Alabama, first at Talladega College as a Woodrow Wilson Teaching Intern and later at Tuskegee Institute, where he became an Associate Professor of Philosophy with tenure and director of an interdisciplinary humanities program funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities. Tom left teaching in 1976 to attend Harvard Law School, where he received his J.D. in 1979. Tom began his legal career with the Boston law firm of Lourie & Cutler, P.C., where he became a director and shareholder. Tom joined Chu, Ring & Hazel LLP in October of 2000. Tom is Co-Chair of the Boston Bar Association's State and Local Tax Committee, and has chaired and spoken at a number of continuing legal education programs sponsored by that organization. He has advised or served on the boards of business and charitable organizations. Tom lives near Boston and is father of George Price and Grace Price. |
